Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Phlebotomy accreditation from an accredited agency
  • Previous experience as a phlebotomist; 4 years is chosen
  • Previous supervisor experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and the ability to lead others
  • Capability to successfully manage time and focus on tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written interaction skills
  • Legitimate motorist’s license and great driving record
  • Working understanding of MS Workplace

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor a team of 25-30 phlebotomists working in Patient Service Centers and/or doctor’s workplaces in the Eastern Coast (Pocomoke to Chestertown)
  • Manage patient flow, wait times, and inventory levels and details logs
  • Screen regular monthly productivity and report any discrepancies as required
  • Coordinate phlebotomists’ schedules through resourceful and imaginative thinking
  • Perform functional tasks such as payroll, month-to-month schedules and performance appraisals
  • Partner with Human being Resources regarding staff member relations problems and disciplinary actions
  • Hire and train phlebotomists to fill any open positions
  • Communicate effectively to internal and external consumers including clients, client office personnel, sales team, logistics and senior management
  • Supply extraordinary customer service to all clients and clients
  • Assist in the set-up of new Patient Service Centers or Client Offices
  • Offer resolution of any patient or client concerns
  • Perform, gather and prepare specimens when needed
  • Travel to extra sites as necessary

Schedule

Monday through Friday, moves in between the hours of 5: 00 am and 5: 00 pm and weekends when needed
