Order of draw that is how do we gather the blood in the vacutainers?
The blood is gathered in blood culture bottles– then in citrate tubes —– then in plain( red) or gel tubes– then in Heparin (green) —– then in EDTA (purple) —– finally in fluoride (grey) tubes.
Order of draw is to be kept constantly.
The glass tubes contain the silica which avoid RBCs from sticking to the walls of the tube.
