The Blood Collection Department at Wilmington Hospital is currently hiring for a Phlebotomy Professional to work full time day shift. Hours arranged might be 5: 00 a.m. to 1: 30 p.m. or 6: 00 a.m. to 2: 30 p.m. Every other weekend and 3 vacations each year required.
Inpatient Medical Facility Experience or Retirement Home as a Phlebotomy Tech are encouraged to use.
Obligations consist of:
– Carry out venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks on inpatients and outpatients to get blood for testing
– Follow established procedures for correct identification of patients, greeting all patients in a considerate way introducing self and calling patient by name
– Respond to all pages, addressing without delay, providing status of present situation and area and approximate time until arrival at unit
Requirements:
– High school graduate or comparable needed
– Inpatient Phlebotomy experience chosen
– CPR Qualified preferred
– Finished Phlebotomy Training Program chosen
