Because of the radioactive nature of the procedure, the lab technicians have to wear protective gear and take precautionary measures so that they are exposed to only the minimum amount of radiations. Anybody who plans to go into the field should keep in my mind that the job of a radiology technician is highly patient oriented and because of this nature, they have to make sure that they are sensitive to the patient’s feelings and most importantly their comfort. The procedures which are conducted sometimes make patients feel uneasy and afraid, it is their job to make them relax and remain calm. It is a job which requires professionalism, radiology technician training and full attention towards the procedures that are to be conducted.
